2024 Kobayashi Syrah Sans Soufre, Washington, USA Quinta de Santiago The grapes here come from97% Syrah, 3% Viognier from WeatherEye Vineyard, located at the top of Red Mountain in eastern Yakima Valley. The Rhone varieties Travis and Mario source from WeatherEye are ungrafted, single stake trained, and planted at high density on rocky, fractured basalt soils. The wine was whole cluster fermented with ambient yeasts, and matured for 22 months in French oak (25% new) before bottling, unfined and unfiltered.
