The 1939 40 New York World's Fair was located in the Flushing Meadows Corona Park in New York City. Opening on April 30, 1939, the Fair ran for two seasons, from April to October 1939 and 1940, and closed on October 27, 1940. Coming at the end of the Great Depression, the Fair focused on the "World of Tomorrow."
