1894 Opera Marie Litta Theodore Thomas Conductor - ORIGINAL STAGE2 ADLD1 This is an original 1910Marie Litta. Her real name was Marie von Ellsner. On the reverse: Theodore Thomas. Born in Esens, Hanover, he was a gifted violinist and conductor. He was the conductor of the New York Philharmonic Society, director of the American Opera Co., and the musical director of the World's Columbian Exposition. Period Paper has obtained a lovely collection of images of stage and opera artists of the late 19th century, published in Chicago in 1894. Whether
