The title "Duke of Lennox" was originally created in the Peerage of Scotland for the Steward of Darnley Clan. It is named for Lennox, a district in Stirling, and was originally established in 1580 81. Esme Steward, First Earl of Lennox was created Earl of Darnley at the same time. Pictured is the Lennox
