Georgian double guinea fob locket #sherborne Some residual silveringThis delightful item is made from 2 guineas dated 1798 and 1773. The ridge inside the case suggests that it was once glazed and used as a locket. Both guineas are hinged and fold out as pictured, allowing a view from both sides. It opens easily and clips closed securely. The jump ring has a period hallmark for 18ct gold (no date letter) and the assumption is that the rest of the mount is of a similar standard.
