This is a pair of Band stands used by the Cruiser Destroyer Force Band aboard a ship in the U. S. Atlantic Fleet during the Vietnam War era. The stands each measure 16 x 18 with a 20 span when they are fully extended. Each bandstand has two plates, the hinges of which are still in great working order. The plates still retain most of their blue paint with some areas of oxidation loss. Each plate bears a circular
