This cap is a very good example of a German WWII Wehrmacht Heer Army Cavalry EM/NCO Schirmmütze (visor cap)

Interior of busby shows some moth to the lining behind the fur and an almost unused correct leather headband

They then attach a HGU-26/P visor assembly (PRU-36/P) and on it goes a little piece called the "W" bracket

complete with securing tie on the top

This is a nice service used example of a German Krimschild metal shield award, which has been removed from a uniform, so at present there is no fabric included. The shield is in good shape, with all the detail still present, and a good amount of the gold brass wash present on the front. It is made from zinc alloy with magnetic clips, and really has a great aged look. The metal backing plate is missing, but it retains
