This is a very nice example of a totally original WWI German M16 Helmet shell

There is still evidence of the gold breach bands that originally enhanced the barrel but the whole gun has been completely refinished and restored in Nepal and being in the old palace rather suggests it was used by the Nepalese Royal family in the 1850s

The pommel is now slightly loose
