The whole interior does have some rather extensive rusting present

1st Newcastle upon Tyne Rifle Volunteer Corps: renamed as 3rd Volunteer Battalion in 1883

with the expected wear to the external finish from being over 70 years of age

This most probably arrived in Nepal with a Sepoy Mutineer after the Great Rebellion on 1857/58 that tore India apart and was only put down with great help provided by Britain's Nepalese Allies

The rear sight appears to have been removed and the screw holes properly plugged when the adjustable tang sight was fitted

This is a very nice example of a Wehrmacht Trench lantern, painted in the later war tan einheitsfarbe 43 (uniform color 43), which shows some great wear from age and use. The small lantern features 3 small windows, each of which has a bezel on the outside for the insertion of a blackout shield, which normally would be stored in the compartment at the rear. Unfortunately these are missing from this example. The
