Overall the box shows plenty of wear but is holding together and the wood of the dominoes is in excellent shape

A variety of woods were used

I have not touched it but one could clean it up a bit if desired

so perhaps just original to the making

I believe they are made of a combination of plaster and cement

I would guess all of them came from one album, kept by a young girl, with one example noting the year: 1862.
