This is a gorgeous example of a WWI British RFC Portrait of a pilot in his maternity tunic. The frame was specially designed for portraits of men in the Royal Flying Corps, as there is a small set of RFC Wings embedded in the top of the frame. The frame is made of wood covered by metal sheet. There is a name written below the pilot but it is likely the photography studio, not the soldier. This is a fantastic portrait
