This is an exceptional example of a genuine Canadian manufactured Mark II steel helmet that is dated 1942 on the shell, and 1943 on the liner. It comes with the correct dark OD green paint used on Canadian helmets, as well as what looks to be some type of clay light camouflage coating on the top. The stamping on the underside of the rim reads: C. L. C. 1942 74 This marking indicates manufacture by Canadian Motor Lamp
