The back rest of the one at left in first photo slants back a bit as if the more relaxed of the two

It appears there may have been a monogram carved into the surface just to the left of the bottom edge of blue curtain but it's hard to discern

I believe its is squash of various sort that are represented

with some 19th c

especially the way the various structures are spaced out and snuggled together

A good set to play with, in very good condition, with ebonized wood backs. (I'm realizing I forget to photo the backs, but they are near black and in very good shape.) Late ish 19th c. I believe.
