This lovely little hand-beaded coin purse with hide bottom makes me want to save all my pennies just so that I can carry them around it

7 3/4" tall x 5 1/2" wide x 3" deep and in excellent vintage condition

with the end of the bow trimmed like a ribbon and tucked into the weaving

This one measures 8 1/4" tall x 5 5/8" long x 1 3/4" wide

I keep thinking of the flying monkeys from the Wizard of Oz when I look at him

The way those fingers knit over our man's chest, just below that fabulous bowtie and in between the floating shirt buttons what a perfect distillation of the feel of a heart a'flutter in springtime! The 1955 drawing is an early work by James Frederic Bone (1929 2015), executed in ink (black, which reads more as dark brown now, and red for stripes on the bowtie).
