these came out of the Middle East more than 20 years ago attached to Bren Gun barrels

Still fully functional the action cycles perfectly with a round barrel and very good rifling

They became well-established opticians and by the late 1800s were manufacturing a wide range of different scientific instruments

The scales were manufactured by George Salter and Co. Ltd., West Bromwich, England, and are marked with the interesting Salter logo. The War Department Broad Arrow mark is also present, although in some cases partially. Very Good to Excellent condition.
