Originally patented in 1858, the Remington Model 95 Pocket Pistol became very popular on the River Boats of the great Mississippi river beginning in the 1870's. They were often used by gamblers and others who would require protection on the often dark decks. Fully nickel plated of which almost all remains, having just a 3" barrel and 4 3 4 overall, this was ideal for a waistcoat pocket. The barrel top strap is marked
