just surface wear to the wood

but the drawing is still dark and clear and fabulous

but this is really a nice one

"The Guide to Happines" Christmas 1848 Punch Paper Embroidery Bookmark ebony and bone some detailed with veins thatQuite an early punch paper embroidery, dated Dec. 25, 1848, and I think a pretty great one, casting the bible as "the guide to happiness" minus one "s". Pretty wreath of greens encircling the book, and lovely silk ribbon for the bookmark too. All in remarkably good condition. Embroidery itself: 3 5 8" x 2". Overall: 13 1 2" x 2 3 8". Very very good condition.
