My guess is that the bottom of the ashtray was once the printing plate used by Squire to produce business or calling cards

Orange Painted Much Loved Wooden Carpenter's Box decorative object made of beautiful olive woodI spotted this orange painted wooden carrying box from afar and knew I had to have it; the patina on its old orange paint, covered in scuffs and scrapes, is just perfect, as is its form, and its size plus it's useful for everything. I found it filled with old hardware, which its owner kindly relocated into another box, but it would also be great as a caddy for art supplies, or for mail, or silverware, or whatever. Just great. 12 1 2" long x 8 1 2 deep
