I really like its rustic-ness and the simplicity of the form--like a cheerio on a barbell

When I spotted these they reminded me of the Schoenhut toy circus chairs and stands I like so much

plus an extra cup (without handle) and plate--perfect for sugar cubes and cookies to serve along with coffee

and the box seems still to contain most of them--as pictured

I'd guess 1870s or so, and all quite wonderful, this otherworldly baby boy on blue blanket, seemingly a giant in relation to the tree beside him, perhaps my favorite of all.
