Ronson, who served as a Radio Gunner with VMB 443, Marine Bombing Squadron 443, during World War II. The most outstanding feature of this set is the leather covering on the headband, which Ronson used as a Mission Chit, denoting each mission he completed with an X, with a staggering 39 missions total, marked at the end with END OF WAR
