This is an very nice inert Japanese Type 97 Hand Grenade, which was originally part of a U. S. WWII Japanese Mine Training Aid Set No. 2. This example is offered in very good condition, complete with the fuse still attached to the top, which can be removed to inspect the interior. The replicated internals, cap, and pin are all missing from the fuse, and the label that is on the bottom has been removed. The Type 97
