Germany, Civic Police. A Civic Police (Polizei) Steel Helmet United Republic of 1914-15 Star (16857 Pte O(Deutsche Polizei Stahlhelm). Constructed of a single sheet of molybdenum steel (magnetic), painted in black paint on the interior and exterior, with a smooth rolled edge along the entire skirt of the helmet.. The exterior appears to have been treated to a typo of light brown polka dot paint on the entire surface of the helmet.
