Constructed of gilded bronze with green enamel border, the obverse consisting of an eight point radiant star, the centre consisting of a sitting figure and a shield and a border with the inscription MILITAIR VEREIN SAXONIA ZU DRESDEN (MILITARY CLUB SAXONIA TO DRESDEN) and a crown, the reverse bears a stick pin attachment, measuring 43. 60 mm (w) x 62. 89 mm (h), on a green and white three looped bow, very fine.
