A Tyrolean Heimatwehr Long Service Badge Newly Listed The dedicatory inscriptionA 15 Jahre Tiroler Heimatwehr (Fifteen Year Tyrolean Home Guard) Long Service badge; in tombac with green and white enamels; vertical pinback; unmarked; measuring 65 mm x 43 mm; slightly bent with missing chips of enamel; otherwise fine condition. Footnote: The Heimatwehr or Heimwehr (Home Guard) were a nationalist, initially paramilitary group operating within Austria during the 1920s and 1930s. They were similar to Germanys Freikorps.
