In silver gilt, consisting of a five armed green enamelled star with ball finials, clusters of seven rays in each quadrant, obverse centre presenting the Sultan of Comoro cipher in silver gilt Arabic script, reverse centre denoting For Merit in gilt Arabic script, with upward facing crescent moon with three green enamelled stars, measuring 59 mm (w) x 81 mm (h inclusive
