The Performance binding is actually lighter (~187g per pair) than the racing Rottefella bindings and a more affordable price tag, but with a less sturdy stiff latch and less durable plastic. Mounts to any NIS plate with the use of the included NIS key tool. This binding will be durable enough for training and light racing but for a more secure attachment to your ski, you should upgrade to the racing level
