Christian Lauer consisting of a blue enamelled Romanian Cross with clusters of nine gilt rays in eac dated 2 May 1944(Deutsches Fahrer Abzeichen II. Klasse in Silber). Instituted 16 May 1930. (1930 1945 issue). Constructed of silver, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a stylized belt surrounding a letter R, around a central depiction of a manned chariot pulled by two horses, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a rounded catch, maker marked L. CHR. LAUER, NRNBERG and stamped with a silver
