on a double loop suspension from its period original ribbon

both of which have been lost to time

it appears that the original loop broke off and was “repaired” by drilling a hole into the iron core to create a new hole for suspension

Second Medal is tentatively identified as a Police Service Medal: two piece construction, in silvered bronze with red enamels, measuring 31. 2 mm (w) x 67. 3 mm (h), original ribbon, chipping evident in the red enamels on the star.
